COACHING GROUPS

Besides the obvious benefit of reduced cost per individual, coaching groups led by a competent coach develop an energy of their own.  The coach acts as facilitator of learning by leading relevant discussions and introducing resources while all members of the group bring their own experiences and perspectives which adds a richness to the group dynamic and individual development.

Q:  How large is a coaching group?
A:  The size can vary but typically we prefer to keep the number to a maximum of 15 participants.

Q:  How are group coaching sessions conducted?
A:  Most often by phone or Skype.  You might wonder how a group dynamic can be created over the phone but it can.  We lead tele-classes for an international coaching school with students from all over the globe and know that it doesn't take long before a group syngery is created.  In person group coaching can also be arranged.

Q:  What would be the focus of a coaching group?
A:  Usually for leadership or team development or to support the learning following a workshop.

Leadership Essentials Coaching Groups
Years of research by our strategic partner, Target Training Int'l the world's leading developer of research-based, validated assessment and coaching tools, has shown that there are five personal skills or competencies common to all people who excel as leaders.  In this coaching group, we will measure each participant's current level of competency in each skill as a starting benchmark so that later, after the coaching program and time to internalize the new learning, we can measure and quantify success.
  1. Interpersonal Skills:  The ability to interact with others in a positive manner.
  2. Self-Management Skills:  The ability to prioritize and complete tasks in order to deliver within allotted time frames; the ability to control oneself under stress.
  3. Personal Accountability:  The ability to answer for personal actions.
  4. Influencing Others:  The ability to personally affect other's actions, decisions, opinions or thinking.
  5. Goal Achievement:  The overall ability to set, pursue and attain achievable personal, professional and team goals regardless of obstacles or circumstances.
